Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) – is a high quality education and training institution located in the South Island, New Zealand, providing tertiary education since 1904. It is the largest education provider in the Nelson-Marlborough region.
NMIT has two campuses located in Nelson and Blenheim (Marlborough Campus in the South Island. Each campus offering programs designed to complement the business and industry demands of the area.

NMIT offers over 100 qualifications from certificate through to Masters level in areas such as Aquaculture, Maritime/Marine studies, Viticulture, Aviation/Aviation engineering, Nursing, Adventure Tourism, Creative Industries, Business, IT, Social Sciences, Arts and Design, Hospitality, and the Trade.
The Institute proposes different modes of delivery and assessment approaches to match the learning needs of students. These include online and blended learning, flexible learning technologies, guided work placement opportunities. Theory and practice are well integrated across the programs.

Students receive an effective support which is provided through goal-setting, regularly reviewed individual learning plans, regular conversations with tutors.
